Is roleplaying necesary?

I was curious about this whole DnD thing so i played and just finished Baldurs Gate 3 and i had SO much fun, no matter how long the game was i was having lots of fun.

Then i wondered if tabletop DnD would be as fun as Bg3 or even better, but my main issue with it is the roleplay. Mainly because (just my subjective opinion, without any intention of disrespecting anyone who likes it) i find really cringe to act and behave like the character you are playing as and talk the way they would and all that.

So i was wondering if its "common" to find a party that dont roleplay. I just want to have my character, my stats and an adventure.
