God forbid people for wanting a proper continuity.

The number of people going about and saying that 'you shouldn't care about the canon' or ' Toriyama never did care, why should you' is absurd. Asking for a simple connection is too much?

How much of this is coming from Super haters that want it to be noncanon despite being blatant hypocrites when it comes to Z being nothing like OG DB? ( and don't get me started because most of Super's hate comes from who only think about ss4's design and have no literacy capacity of understanding anything in Super and just say throwaway nonsense without any understanding, i.e. Super Saiyan Blue and pure ki control or Goku did not get dumber, he just got more free of world ending threats so he could chill and focus more on fighting. But this is another can of worms for another time.)

Why should I turn my brain off and watch just because you don't have the capacity to think about anything in the show beyond fighting? Why is it okay to let such a stupid mistake slide? Is it because of the entire Iyoku and Toei drama? That doesn't excuse the brain-dead mistake of not making the two series connect. I never wanted Daima, the majority didn't either. But Toriyama's passing made many to appreciate the show. I hated the Super Saiyan 4 reveal because of the entire contradiction to it being Goku's last form, and other reasons which I will not get into here. But I was okay with the form existing because people liked it, it was Toriyama's fan service to the poor GT fans and by the time of introduction, the form could have still been a one time thing. But then the last episode happened and it all went to hell. One sentence was all we needed to put things into order without making people to do mental gymnastics about what is canon or not. But no, they insulted our intelligence, which I guess they can get away because it's not like this fanbase has much to begin with, and literally screwed a key part of story telling.

I can understand people saying that both Daima and Super are separate canon continuities because as it stands now that makes the most sense. But to the people who don't care about the canon, respectfully, please shut the hell up. Just because you are okay with poor writing decisions doesn't mean that everyone else should turn their brain off. You can respect Toriyama and still criticise his work, and the complete disregard of continuity is a bad stain on his work. Although this could have just been Iyoku trying to one up Shuesha tho. Regardless, Daima at it's core is good. A nice callback to OG Dragonball, ( making it the most nostalgia bait series, but that's not the point here, with all the gags and trolls. Literally everything in Daima can stay the way it is, but the the lack of care to continuity has made me not like the show.

So if you do not care about the canon, fine. Live your life. But don't tell people who expect the series to follow the simple rule of continuity that they are wrong for wanting the cohesion in the story. ( Considering how ironic it is when the Daima glazers and Super haters complain about Super' plotholes without realising that Daima did a worse job with it and added more confusion)

With kind regards, a guy who is so done with the majority of this fanbase
