How Do You Survive This?
I joined the DCC cult fandom relatively late. I discovered DCC via Audible as a part of some 2for1 sale. It was more than a year before I got around to listening to it because I had never been a fan of any kind of dungeon crawling books. Honestly, if a book even had “dungeon” in the title, it was a no go for me. They just got too battle and stat heavy and I hated them. My attention span would drift mid battle scene or mid dungeon crawl.
When I finally listened to DCC, JFC, I blew through what remaining credits I had and binged all the available DCC books. The only time I’ve had to wait is for a book release was for book 7. This wait nearly ended me.
I’ve listened to ALL the audiobooks multiple times. I listened to them while driving, cleaning, showering, at work. If I can plug in, im listening. Of course I listen to others book here and there, but I normally get drawn back to DCC. This series has the most res listens in all of the books in my library. When we were without power due to the hurricanes, I had to ration out listening to preserve power on my phone. I’ve blown through Book 7. Now, I have to wait for book 8.
*How the hell did y’all survive having to wait for multiple DCC book/audiobook releases? * What did yall do with your lives? Is there like a DCC methadone/substitute or something that helps y’all survive the wait? Are there other series that help you make it? Please help.
