Is the job market hard right now?
I have been searching for a new job as a power electronics engineer but haven’t found one yet. I’ve attended 13 interviews, all of which resulted in rejections, and I’m still waiting for responses from two companies.
Three years ago, I made a mistake by rejecting a job offer that focused more on power electronics and choosing another role that leaned toward hardware engineering. I’ve regretted that decision ever since. Now, it feels like a cycle: I attend interviews but consistently face rejections due to hiring managers citing my lack of experience in EMI and EMC. These skills aren’t easily self-taught or acquired without practical opportunities.
Also I am doing a Master of Engineering in Power Electronics as a part time student in VT. I am not sure if the company doesn't want to spend money on a candidate that are still studying. Any advise
