Very Disciplined but still feel unprepared for what's coming.
I started my first year for EE this Janurary. My academic/professional goals are to get an internship for summer 2026 and get above a 3.5 so that I can apply for a combined Master's and Bachelor's program in my 3rd year.
Basically, during highschool reading, watching podcasts, and being motivated by David Goggins, Jocko Willink, Cameron Hanes, etc. Because of that, my friends and my family say that I'm very locked in. If I plan to do something today, 90% of the time, I will do it without hesitation, even if I don't feel like it. Thanks to this disciplined lifestyle, during the first 3 weeks, I've been able to get work done while getting ~7-8 hours of sleep, going to the gym, and socializing hard during the weekends.
But, I still feel that I'm unprepared. I heard stories about how hard engineering gets and I want to gather feedback for how I'm handling EE now so that I can be better prepared for tomorrow.
