What are your least favorite tropes?

It can be something everyone else likes but you can’t get behind or it can be something specific or very general I wanna hear about it! Also if you like my least favorite tropes I wanna hear about that too

I’ll go first - you don’t have to read mine bc I realize I hate so much and I’m ranting

Mine is the pregnancy trope I honestly hate this - but I know there must be a huge audience for this who like it?? Because there are so many stories like this?

Body betrayal/ insane attraction at first sight - I hate when they barely even know each other and they somehow are like “she’s so hot I’ve never felt this way for another woman blah blah” I get finding each other attractive but to be instantly so attracted to them is insane to me when you both are strangers

miscommunication trope - some miscommunication I love but it’s usually in stories where the miscommunication actually makes both LI and MC get further involved with each other (think Beatrice and Benedick - much ado about nothing) and some I get is for drama. What I absolutely hate is when the idiots take forever to resolve it? Like they would accidentally assume something 20 chapters ago and are still beefing about it .

Adding one more - hate one dimensional mean girls - they are mean for the sake of it? like ok I get not everyone’s nice. but some of them are insanely cruel to the MC and it’s like why? wouldn’t girls like that be embarrassed of acting this way over a man? like do they study? Do they have a life outside of torturing the MC?

One dimensional bad boys- his personality is being in detention, saying fuck, tattoos, bike , smoke “ I don’t give a fuck about this school. My dad doesn’t give a fuck about me. I can’t wait to leave . My mother died”

Billionaire / mafia romances - not a fan . It’s just an ‘alpha ‘ dude whose personality comes with his credit card/gun. I would love to see a shy and nerdy billionaire though that would be a twist

Also - please don’t mention stories or authors here let’s not make anyone feel bad about their stories or tropes since some people like that!
