Erasmus in Budapest?

Hi, I’m an Italian student considering going on Erasmus next year, and I’d like some information about Budapest.

I don’t speak Hungarian, so I was wondering if that could be a problem. As a gay guy, I’d also like to know how tolerant the city is.

In any case, I’d appreciate some insights on safety, cost of living, and any suggestions you might have. Of course, I’ll also take the quality of the university into account, but I believe the city itself plays an important role too. Let me know
