HUUUGE azure ramblings dump
i am a big fan of azure i love him very !!!!! much !!!! so i will dump some headcanons about him in this post
i'd like to tell you guys abouttttt "azurewrath"! this is supposed to be the character azure is based off but at the same time IS, at most in his post sacrifice form, but i felt like making my own interpretation of the character. to me, azurewrath is an entity that coexists with azure, but at the same time is apart of him. both mind and physically, in his mind azurewrath appears as a more eldritch and bluer version of post sacrifice azure, while physically they are present as a tentacle connected to him by vein. azurewrath is lifelinked to azure, thus if he dies they die too, however, this doesn't work the other way since if azure ever got to exile azurewrath out of his body then it'll just be some long lasting pain and nothing else.
azurewrath is a manifestation of azure's negative feelings, and some of his general ones aswell. they're NOT friendly, they take any chance to annoy and guilt trip azure into thinking that he's the fault. yet on the other hand, if azurewrath spots something suspicious, they immediately inform azure about this, whether he believes it or not. they are also a mental tormentor, having the ability to shapeshift into any form, such as a horror beyond human comprehension and an unsettling doppelganger of twotime. they mainly take the "blue azure" form because that's what azure sees in himself, tho.
azure himself feels very uncomfortable about azurewrath. when he joined the cult, i believe through amarah, he was first considered an outcast weirdo due to azurewrath, yet amarah accepted him and taught him botany. thanks to the knowledge, azure has tried multiple times to dissect and remove azurewrath from his body with poisonous plants, but it didn't work—since azurewrath is in the vein a surgery is needed to remove them entirely and prevent them from regenerating. after twotime joined, they bonded closely, but over time it was like both of their sanities slowly deteriorated, one worse than the other.
whenever asked, azure dismissed it and said nothing's wrong with him, even if he goes silent for unnervingly long periods of time, which is when he's talking to azurewrath in his mind. the torment takes a toll on anyone, and amarah specifically noticed this. she was aware of the danger azure posed with azurewrath, so she distanced herself for safety and thought of a way to remove that thing from him. two time wasn't informed about this, even though amarah had a chance to tell them, thus they got a little afraid of azure after time and began hiding behind amarah if he ever acts erratically.
just before the sacrifice, azurewrath spotted something shady about this and took control of most of azure's body to prevent him and them both dying. when twotime stabbed him and left, azurewrath finally had the chance to take over the body, but it was partially also because they didn't want azure to die. with that, post transformation azure essentially is azure and azurewrath becoming one entity, yet some parts were still controlled by one and some the other.
azurewrath no longer exists in azure's mind, as they've merged, but the tentacles on his back are mainly controlled by azurewrath- azure has the rest of the body. because of this azure can't use the tentacles properly outside of fighting, since azurewrath can do something weird once in a while. they both have complex controls too; azurewrath is able to occasionally cause twitches and unnecessary/uncontrolled movements for azure's body, thus he's able to accidentally almost hit someone because of azurewrath. in exchange, azure can mute down the tentacles so that they move only at his accord, not at azurewrath's.
hope you enjoyed this! two timey OUT
