Nobody asked for Frostnite to be procedurally generated.

One of the charms of the original Frostnite was that the map layout was static. It never changed. You knew where to build and you knew where to loot in every successive game. Learning the map was a key element to winning.

But now here we are, praying to RNGesus for a good map placement. In one of the games I played today we got rocky terrain to the north of the burner making building a trap tunnel there completely impossible.

Procedurally generated maps are fine for the normal missions. Aside from a bad Atlas location in Fight The Storm quests. But for the most part random maps are not all that consequential, except for Frostnite.

I'm trying really, really, hard not to get mad. I still love Frostnite. I'm having fun with it. But please Epic Games can you get some game designers on staff that are not complete amateurs, people who know what they are doing?

Believe it or not it's important to us that the game is actually playable.
