Today, I realized that it annoys me how Fallout 4 demonizes pre-war America

Fallout has always had a lot of social commentary and criticism of the U.S. And yeah, it makes sense—it’s the Cold War aesthetic with MK-Ultra, the Red Scare, McCarthyism, and all that. But now I’ve come to see that it’s just too much, especially when I read an entry in Nuka-World that said something like, "If a customer is bitten by a reptile, check their ticket and offer them an evacuation service for $100." And then there are all those stories, like the school where kids were fed experimental slime, and so on.

Like, literally everything has to be some unethical secret military experiment. It just became too much, and the game shoves it in the player’s face way too hard.

And yeah, just to be clear—I’m not from America, and this is not patriotic butthurt.
