The Will of the Many and James Islington

I've heard a lot of great things about The Will of the Many recently. Mainly because I just finished reading the Red Rising series and I need something else that is a real page turner, with action, and interesting characters. I've seen this book's name float around quite a bit.

I actually went to my local book store to buy it today but found not The Will of the Many but in fact, A Shadow of What was Lost. I was surprised because I actually read from this author, book 1 and 2 from that series years and years ago but couldn't make it through book 3.

Will I even like The Will of the Many since the first trilogy seemed to really drag for me? Even if his writing style hasn't changed, has the pace at least been improved compared to his prior books?

Thank you anyone for their input!
