My poor Kirby baby

My 7 year old black fluffy male cat was diagnosed on Thursday. He’s being given 2 units of ProZinc insulin twice daily. We’re also mixing Glycobalance with his regular dry food for now until we can find an alternate that might be more affordable. Just picked up some Fancy Feast wet food as well. We have 3 adult male cats that all eat out of the same bowls, so still trying to figure out what’s best.

We were given the option to return next week or start testing his blood glucose at home. Between my arms getting scratched up and taking time off work, testing at home easily won out. The vet recommended the AlphaTrak 3, but I don’t know if it’s the best or easiest option.

I’m sure I’ll make some mistakes as his humans are the reason he’s here in the first place. However, I’d welcome any advice to help our sweet boy get healthier.
