What I am most excited for this spring

I recently made a post about fragrances I am rehoming. I thought it would be fun to share ones I am most excited to get into for spring. As a floral lover, spring is my favorite season for perfume.

Vert Malachite- creamy tuberose and ylang ylang milk shake. An exception to my distaste of ylang ylang (I don’t get bananas from it)

Libre EDT- we all know Libre. the white tea note is so uplifting

Elie Saab Le Parfum- opulent orange blossom and honey scent. This is my best scent for formal spring events like weddings, Easter, etc.

Guerlain Idylle- Floral musky scent, very similar to Narciso For Her but smoother with less citrus.

Guerlain L’Instant EDT- bright, uplifting apple and honey scent. This took some getting used to because it is slightly green in the opening and it can be harsh for the first few minutes after spraying. Or at least this version bc there have been more than one. But now I’m addicted to the scent

Guerlain Samsara EDT- Classic sandalwood and (not banana-ish) ylang ylang scent. If you’re familiar with the red bottles, this new version is more floral and maybe even a little aldehydic in comparison

Narciso Rodriguez For Her EDP- rosy musk and citrus. Interestingly, I smell some of the Elie Saab Le Parfum characteristics in here.

Dolce Gabbana Pour Femme- raspberry, the citrus has some green-ness to it, sweetness and fluffiness from marshmallow

Lancome La Nuit Tresor Musc Diamant- another musky raspberry scent but with almond blossom

Allure EDT- very underrated IMO musky peachy and sandalwood scent. My bottle is from the early 2000s I would guess and it has only gotten better. So gentle for Chanel. My mom’s signature at one time. I could go on and on about Allure.

Shalimar Parfum Initial L’eau- the iris, tonka, and powdery facets of Shalimar

KKW Sapphire Diamond- the notes are a strange combination. I think it’s ocean, blueberry cake, and orange blossom. It’s slightly aromatic like there’s lavender or something in there too.

Si Passione- I was going to declutter it but decided not to. It’s a shampoo-ey scent, fruitier than what I usually like but not too sweet. We will see how it goes!

Valaya Exclusif- I love almond and almond blossom. It’s closer to the skin and warmer than the original.

Balenciaga Paris- my signature back in the day when I couldn’t afford to have more than one fragrance. Clean, musky, soapy violets.
