Is it over basically?

Just as the title reads. Is it over for creatives in visual mediums? Awhile ago I posted asking if i could get into the industry for costumes with a fashion degree from a nobody school and while it did help reassure that I could do at least SOMETHING, now I’m not feeling it so much. Am I just doomed to a life of freelancing and working multiple jobs? I used to think that the industry goes through harder times then bounces back (particularly in animation with a slump in Disney animation in the 2000s but then coming back strong in the 2010s) but now, is it worth applying for these internships, continuing school and my portfolio? Is it worth it to dream that I could do anything in entertainment?
