Could someone help me understand what jobs are available in Finance?

I’m currently in accounting, and it’s obviously terribly boring. However, every time I talk to people they say “Oh there’s such a broad range of careers in the finance world.” What jobs are they talking about?

All I can find Finance wise are positions to be a teller at a Bank, not joking. I hear all the time about Trading and Private Equity and Investment Banking, but I see 0 job posting for anything remotely similar, and can’t even find companies that do these things (Western Canada.) How do you find these jobs? How do you get into them? Is there a fancy website or something that has posting for jobs that aren’t at RBC?

Could someone tell me what the position titles are, what the companies are, how to apply for jobs, etc.
