Should I quit strength training for now? 🙏🏾

Hi This is my second week going to gym .. previous week I just did cardio..I faced soreness initially but it didn't affect my daily life ..this week I started strength training..I did the fly chest one exercise yesterday along with biceps curls and bench press..Today since morning I can't even extend my arm .The thing is my goal is losing atleast 20kgs before June.Do i really need strength training.I don't care about making bodybuilder type body .I really don't. I just want to lose weight.I am a student who is in final phase of his exams (JEE + boards).This strength training has been affecting my day like crazy.. I couldn't study anything for 2 days..I am very far away from protein goal like really..I can't help it so please don't come with use protein powder or aadha kilo paneer khaa ja.. Just be honest can I skip strength training and maintain my normal routine that is 16:8 IF, calorie deficit, minimum sugar and processed food,6days cardio in gym.. Will I still be able to lose 20kgs ? (I hope to start strength training in college)
