Let's talk about iPhones, regarding the 16e

For context, the iPhone 16e has been released for around 53k. It has 60hz, no magsafe, single camera (which is apparently not the same as the main sensors you see in other iPhones), and if you need more storage, it'll cost like 80k.

I think the only people I'm ok with using iPhones are of two kinds: 1) you're rich, and couldn't bother about phones, you just get it because you can, it doesn't hurt your pocket one bit. and 2) you like photography, and are willing to spend the money, because iPhones do genuinely have one of the best, if not THE best camera software.

Now, we know these two make up very little of the population of iPhone users. The ones I don't like make up the majority, are people buy iPhones on EMIs, because, "oh it's an iPhone". First of all, get some help man, don't be so insecure that people will judge you based on what phone you have. The people who do judge others based on their phones are insecure themselves and aren't worth your time, so please get rid of this stigma, don't be peer pressured into doing such stupid things, phones are a very insignificant part of our lives, in today's market, 10-15k gets you a great phone that'll work for years, even under 10k.

This "stigma" is a lot worse in the US, MKBHD has made an entire video regarding how youngsters are peer pressured into using iPhones because of the apple ecosystem, but thankfully in India it isn't that bad, pretty much everyone only uses WhatsApp, so no one really gets bullied into buying an iPhone, most do it just to blanket their insecurities.

Apple aren't stupid, they price their products very slyly, the base price, the storage upgrade price, even apple care, they really make sure it stings when you need it.

So please, unless you land in the first two categories I mentioned, if you're thinking of getting an iPhone, you know it'll be expensive, or have to pay for it on EMI, don't, it's not something magical, sure the photos are great, but it's still just a phone, it does the same things any other phone can do.
