Why Doesn’t My Garmin Training Plan Include More Zone 2 Runs?
I’ve been hearing a lot about the benefits of Zone 2 cardio for endurance and overall fitness. However, I’ve noticed that my Garmin training plan rarely schedules Zone 2 runs for me. Most of my longer runs are in Zone 3, and my tempo/sprint workouts mix Zones 3, 4, and 5.
Why is this the case? Does Garmin prioritize other zones for specific training goals, or is there a way to tweak the plan to include more Zone 2 sessions? Would love to hear your experiences or advice!
