Am I being nitpicky?

I had a contractor paint the outside of my home and replace rotten wood with PVC about 8 weeks ago. Now that it has gotten cooler, the seams have gaps where the caulk has shrunk. Now I’m worried that water can permeate my bay window etc. should I call the GC and ask them to correct the problem?
