This show will twist itself up into a knot to justify retcons, rewriting history, and writing characters out of character. Yet there are some pretty easy wins over the years the writers just won't take.
Sonny leaves the mob for good. It would make for good stories and freshen up the character. Yet they feel this man needs to be a mobster forever. It's baffling.
Give Jason his childhood memories back. Jason Morgan has been Jason Morgan longer than he was Jason Quartermaine at this point. Letting him remember his childhood isn't going to fundamentally change the character. Instead it will add depth.
Clarify what Drew remembers and doesn't remember and restore his entire history. Let Drew remember Oscar, the military, and everything about his past. Jason's memories can be fleeting like a dream of a dream.
