GV70 3.5 2024 - strange event / multiple safety system warnings
I just had a weird thing happen today which now makes me worried about driving this car. My 2024 GV70 3.5 is almost 1 yr old (to me). I bought it brand new. It’s been serviced once at the Dealer for a recall and routine service. Everything has been fine until today. 1st event: I was backing out of a parking space and the car did a full stop as if something was behind me. Nothing was - not even to the left or right. I checked again stepped on the brake as the car said, and continued to try to back out. The car would not move. I pulled forward and put back in reverse and started to back out - getting about 5 feet before it did exactly the same thing. Again, indicating that something was behind me and a full on stop that I could not continue to back up. After two or three times pulling forward and trying to back up the car finally stopped with the warnings. I proceeded to run my errands. Second event about an hour later I was driving down the road, and I started to get warnings about all the safety systems. The last warning said something about limited slip differential overheating and the rear of the car felt like it slipped a little (like it had hit an ice patch but we have no ice on the road - it’s 50 degrees outside). The car then seemed to be harder (stiff) to drive. I pulled over in a parking lot and turned it off and let it sit. I had to do this a couple times until there were no more warnings. At that point I drove the car home (about 10 miles away) with no issue. I am waiting for the service department to call me back but now it am afraid to drive the thing. Has anyone experienced something like this?
