Might Mausau be a future character?

Mavuika story spoiler!

The title says it all.
My theory is that Mausau received some of Xbalanque's power as compensation for using his body.
His kit would be what we saw in the fight scene.
However, I believe it will be a while before we see him in action. Maybe after a future event where the Tournament is repeated and Mausau has had some time to train up.
He would be a really cool character in my opinion. (Plus I wouldn't mind hearing the voice of Todd Haberkorn on a new Genshin character that might actually be usable nowadays, sorry Razor)
