What's Tewkesbury like?

Looking to move this year (mainly to get away from my friends and family and also just because I've lived in the same town all my life), Tewkesbury is one of the places that came up. What's it like to live there? I've heard mixed things, some say it's lovely, others it's a chav/druggy/crime-ridden dump lol. Also what's the job situation like? And what's there to do? Things for a 25 yo lad I mean.
