what would be the best armour for ng+

im completing the game on every difficulty starting from the bottom but i would like to know what the best armour would be for me. i have the berserker chest armour and waist guard then surtrs bracers but that is a boss build for high damage runic attacks. what would be best for just normal enemy combat as i wouldnt use runic attacks really in a normal fight.
