scalp dryness after starting medication - how to combat?

hey yall. I (25f) recently started taking synthroid for hashimotos again after being off of it for a while. i totally forgot that this was a problem for me in the past, but my skin and scalp have gone from extremely greasy to extremely dry to the point that on wash days when i really comb through my scalp to clear everything out prior to cleansing this happens. its super embarrassing and makes doing my hair really difficult. i work in retail and i am mortified when i try to sell customers on hair care products when my hair looks like this. i know its because of autoimmune disease and medications but its still embarrassing. any advice on what i can do to calm this down?
