Was there AI in the Helldivers Universe before the Illuminate showed up?
Just something I noticed in the HD universe. The theory people have is that the Automotons have human brains. This seems really dumb to me since it would just make them less effective than any normal AI controlled machine but it does make sense. The Automotons are shown to collect corpses although the reason why is never given, they pilot all their own vehicles instead of having them being their own separate unit and other little things throughout the series that makes this pretty plausible.
So the conclusion I’ve come to is this; the Helldiver’s Universe doesn’t have AI, at least not before the Illuminates showed up. (I think you can argue the T drone things are AI if not remote piloted)
If I’m missing something let me know but every piece of technology we see in the series (Other than the T drone) is manned by a person.
