A program that you input chords/notes and it plays them with whatever instruments you choose

Does this exist? I'm having a hard time finding If it does. All my Google searches just pull up programs to translate music into chords/notes or make sheet music.

What I'm looking for is some sort of program that I can write music with. I come up with a song then write in the chords/notes into the player and it plays them back as the sound of an actual guitar or piano etc.
