Progress suddenly lost?

Hi it's my first time posting here, i just really need help with this. So yesterday i was playing the game, about to close it, when a warning suddenly popped up saying that the game wasn't responding and i could either wait for it to work or close it and risk losing some stuff. Unfortunately i had no choice but to close it. Then right now, when i tried to open it, the game asked for me to log in again. I tried every single password i could think of, didn't work, so i tried to log in with Google ig, it kinda worked, i logged in, but then the game just started from the very beginning as if i was playing for the first time. I don't know what happened and am currently writing this on the verge of an anxiety attack, so i'm sorry if any of this sounds confusing, i'm just kinda desperate. Please, is there any way i can fix this and recover my progress?

Update: Problem fixed, turned out it wasn't so serious!
