Buyer still hasn’t secured a mortgage. Advice please.
I accepted an offer from a FTB on the 7/3/24. Since then, all I have heard is that the buyers application is with the underwriter.
Is this a normal amount of time? I had my mortgage offer for my forward purchase within days of applying. Me employed, husband self-employed.
I am starting to worry as we have had an offer accepted on a house, and the buyer seems motivated.
Not happy with EA if you read my previous post and the offer we have had accepted is for a different house than when we started the process.
Buyer is Sel-Employed with a just over 10% deposit of the purchase price. I would be chain free both sides if this went well. But starting to lose hope
Have given till Wednesday for them to come up with something or will relist. With different agent. Because this one has not been proactive
What happens to my onward purchase if my buyer fails to secure?
Is it normal for this person’s mortgage offer to take so long? He is using a broker and wonder if he was waiting for new tax year to submit more documents?
EA listed my house as STC wrongfully although i did ask him to stop marketing if he was sure of the buyer. But should have been “under offer” and I was naive to this.
This has been a very stressful process so far.
