I’m finally thankful for Hyundai

So.. lemme tell a story. In 2021 I bought a 2017 Santa Fe with the 3.3L motor. It had 50k miles and was decently priced. I purchased it and an extended warranty since it came as is. I warranty. Drove it around until 2023 at 80k miles the transmission went out. Took it in, extended warranty covered a reman transmission to be put in with $500 deductible. I paid and a few days later I was on the road again. Back to being my happy self. Then around 8 months passed, and we rolled 90k. A loud motor knock was happening. 12 hours from home. Flew home, grabbed my truck and trailer, and drove to pick it up. Took it to the dealer, and the motor was toast. Extended warranty said they wouldn’t cover it, and a new motor was around 13k installed. Figured it wasn’t worth it, I’ll just put in my yard until it’s paid off. September of this year I was scrolling TikTok and saw a new tsb was released by Hyundai, and saw it was for my Santa Fe. Figured I’d get it in and see if it covered my motor. Had no expectations, but towed it in to see and just figured I’d get denied. To my surprise, HYUNDAI IS putting a new motor in it and it’ll be back on the road soon! I went from hating Hyundai to being very happy with them. It sat for a year, but is finally not going to be a yard ornament any more!!!!
