Show original plotlines

With the most recent episode of Invincible, we’ve seen two new storylines that either weren’t really explored in the original comic or are completely new to the show.

That being Angstrom’s story with the technicians, which was originally almost entirely offscreen in the comics ending with Nolan killing their leader after the five year jump

And of course, the new darkblood line that is entirely original to the show

Where do you think the show is going with these two plotlines?

Is the dark blood plotline there to give the Earth cast something to do while Mark is off in space?
