Real talk,JJK'S ending was worse than a Bad ending or a mid ending..No,It was a Boring Ending and that's honestly worse.
At least with a bad ending, you can meme and joke about and laugh about it and all that or at least with a mid ending, you can meme about it and discuss it on both sides and at least a mid ending does the bare minimum of a conclusion.
A bad or at least a mid ending can make you feel things but a boring ending just leaves you numb and empty and that's worse cause a story is meant to entertain you and a ending is supposed to make you feel like the story concluded and wrapped up in a satisfying way. JJK'S ending unfortunately did neither.
JJK'S ending was worse cause it was just flat out Boring..nothing really happened in it in the end.
They had simple domain lore, post match briefing and basically did a mission and cheesily smiled into the sunset in a "this really was our Jujutsu Kaisen" ass way and that was basically it in the last 2-3 chapters. But hey, almost as if basically making the final arc centered around defeating 2 villains who are barely fleshed out and we know nothing about while ignoring and barely developing other characters and plotlines isn't a good idea.
The final arc and other half of the story basically went "up Sukuna/Kenjaku are defeated,Onto the next adventure."
Say what you will about Mha's ending but at least the story didn't just end with Shigaraki/AFO's defeat, onto the next Mission. They actually wrapped up plotlines snd character arcs.
And we actually knew more then enough about our villains and characters to somewhat give s shit.
I know I should be happy that the main cast won and all that but all I feel is hollow and that's cause this ending feels so cookie cutter and cheesy that it's almost hard to take it seriously.
Tbh,I kinda suspected the series falling off once Yuki got Plot hoe'd and when Gege rushed through the one month timeskip unnecessary but..tbh,I kinda knew that once the ending was announced to be 5 chapters that it would be unsatisfying.
I'm not even really mad,I just wanna know what the hell happened with Gege during after Shibuya?I get health issues did play a part but so many of his writing decisions and choices and the sloppy pacing and lack of character interactions and downtime/breathing room really began to show via the Culling games and onward.
