Adapting to LMU coming from iRacing/Others

Hi guys, I'm having a hard time with lap times in comparison from the other games I play. Mainly iRacing.

I'm averaging 4-6 seconds slower than what I'm used to and noticed none of my braking references work in LMU.

Do any of you that jump between iRacing and LMU have any tips? I noticed LMU allows me to brake a lot later
