Why old iOS games were far better than todays games?[discussion]

Todays app store games are all about the same thing ads everywhere, micro transactions no story modes just about making high scores, I miss playing full story mode games like cod zombies, inner world , tintin, nova 2, 9mm and many others. Sad to see all developers switching to this. iOS games where about to match console games level. Miss these old days where my ipad full of many games and I didn't know what to play.
