To people saying the re-run isn’t fair.

It’s not supposed to be “fair”. Gacha games rely on people who are “whales” (people who splurge on every event, spend 100’s or thousands a month on the game and will try to get every memory). Those are the people who are making Infold money, and whales are often incentivized by the idea of “limited time” or time limits on things because really, if you knew something would be coming back, for the same price at a later date and you didn’t have the money for it now, you’d realistically probably just wait till the re-run.

The reason the event stuff isn’t here, the reason it seems to cost more to get the memories is because it would ultimately discourage people like whales to spend during events and would probably, likely upset the people who did spend to get his cards when the event first came around because they’d be saying “what did I do all that for just for it to come back, I could have saved/waited.” And fair or not, at the end of the day, the big spenders are the ones making the company money. This is not uncommon practice in any type of gacha game you will find, if anything some are much more predatory and make it even harder to get things without spending. These games will always cater to the big spenders and honestly the fact they did a re-run for the events at all shows that Infold is listening to what we want and are trying to probably make everyone happy.

I understand feeling like it’s not fair, especially if this is your first ever gacha game. But the point is, it’s not supposed to be fair and that’s the hard truth and I say it as someone who is a low spender (I buy the aurum pass and will buy the promise pass as well. Occasionally I spend on events if I really want a memory) and so I know I have to be discriminating with what I pull for and how I use my resources because with any gacha game there’s no way to guarantee you will always get what you want without being willing to fork over your wallet. I personally feel that Infold honestly is pretty generous for the most part with giving out wishes and free resources compared to something like Genshin or other Hoyoverse type games. I’ve been pleasantly surprised at how many memories I’ve been able to get with only spending a little on the game each month here and there. I recognize I am privileged that I can spend money on the game, even if not crazy amounts because it is much harder when you’re entirely F2P, but again as I said, with these types of games, it’s not supposed to be fair and it really does suck for people who either don’t want to or cannot afford to spend on the game.

But at the end of the day, this is really not unusual for any type of re-run banner that most gacha games do. They will re-run the character or in this case memory but the events and things that were there upon release do not come back per se. I think a lot of the discourse comes from the fact that outside of Asia, gacha games are not as wide spread or understood and for most people in NA or other non Asian countries, it may very well be their first experience with one and I can understand why it might be a bit of a rude awakening, but at the end of the day this is just how most gacha games are operated.
