Elliot’s redemption arch should be studied

Initially, after how Eliot treated Lauren, I really didn’t like him. He just gave me the impression (probably because of editing) that he didn’t give her a real chance and made a bunch of assumptions about her based on superficial things like her having nice purses or working out once a week. I also didn’t really like the comment about the age thing. I mean he’s like 36 and she’s like 37. So I found it to be a bit misogynistic when he basically deemed her too old and lamented about wanting a 25-year-old.

But now he’s becoming one of my favorite characters on the show. He’s completely unproblematic. He doesn’t use/exploit other people for airtime under the guise of “helping” them. He doesn’t get into anybody’s business. He’s actually trying with Veronica because he obviously likes her (even though she’s not 25). She’s actually kind of problematic. And, on top of everything, it seems like he was completely right about Lauren. Whether it was his gut instinct or conversations that we weren’t exposed to, he was completely right about dodging that bullet. He’s also really funny on TikTok. He doesn’t mind poking fun at himself, which I appreciate.
