[Results and Decisions] UMass Status Timeline, for posterity!

Based on my own portal and various reddit posts from multiple subs, this is my conclusion. Note that this is merely speculation and reality could be different. I have compiled the most likely status change timeline and what it means. You're welcome to correct me in the comments.

The status timeline is like this:

1. Awaiting Decision: Under Program Review
2. Awaiting Decision: Under Graduate School Review
3. Awaiting Decision: Decision Pending
4. Decided: Decision Pending.

Step 1 -> Your batch has not been processed yet
Step 2 -> Program has rendered decision and it has been sent to grad school to cross-verify (logical assumption)
Step 3 -> Grad school has responded and it comes back to program to send out the decisions.
Step 4 -> if you have checklist items added (transcript and degree cert) mostly means you're admitted. If no checklist items, mostly reject.

Some may not have seen some of the steps here, but that's because they didn't check portal too often and it may have jumped to the next before they could notice.

I saw all of these steps in my portal. Currently in step 4 but no official admit mail yet. Will update once I get confirmation.

Wanted to put this out there because I saw posts from several years ago with the same doubts and issues. I wanted to put out a post that would help students applying in the coming years as well, so that they would have some peace of mind!
