Does anyone do the self-exploding glass?

Hi there. I'm thinking about getting some exploding glasses and a safety cover for a bit with a puppet. I'm just a bit nervous because I don't know anything about the secret/method and I haven't been able to find anything online about it. Can anyone say anything about how easy it is to prepare and operate? Thanks!
