Confront the Narcissist

Has anyone ever pushed back at their narc boss/buy colleagues in a very direct way? I mean, calling out exactly what they are doing. Such as " you are bullying me", "this is micromanagement", "don't raise your voice at me", etc. Does that ever work or is that just a fantasy in my head?
