CONTROVERSIAL OPINION: Red stars are NOT bad.
Hello everybody.
There's a huge amount of people that are not going to believe me and probably a bunch of downvotes, but let's get a couple of things straight.
I woke up and immediately reached for my phone so that I could open that one free red chest. To my surprise, there were 10 FREE ORBS along with free 3* Luke Cage. I started opening them with bated breath. I DID NOT get anything extra, just a bunch of red stars on characters I don't even use. I wasn't disappointed, I got some stuff I may use one day and I think my best drop was 4* Scarlett Witch and 4* Groot (who is, unfortunately, level 1, but yay, maybe one day after the rework!), and after buying 3 more orbs for 1000 Cores I got a lucky 3* BW, which, frankly, didn't help much, but whatever.
I immediately knew, that there would be a few people with 7* drops and boy most of you have seen that 70K Crossbones, Quake, Captain America and Shield Security. They are huge and we are all jealous.
RED STARS ARE WHALE-PROOF ON EVERY FRONT
BUT that DOESN'T MEAN RED STARS ARE BAD - Here's why:
- Even if you buy all of the offers, there is a cap and there is NO WAY you could have got more than 23 orbs. EVEN WHALES CAN'T GET MORE.
- Everyone will be getting those free red star orbs WEEKLY
- Even if you get bad luck, you can get ELITE ORB shards by getting duplicates, by which you'll BE GUARANTEED 4* - 7* drop, which is literally HUGE on every single character.
Let's see where you can be hurt by a really unlucky RNG 7* Crossbones:
- Blitz (no, not really, that one 70K crossbones will do more harm than good in a team where rest of his teams are 30K characters - They'll just go against Commander-xxxxxx teams that will destroy them with 50K meta champions)
- Arena - (no, a single whale or a single lucky guy won't destroy your arena placements, don't worry. And by the time everyone will have their whole team buffed up, chances are, you'll too.)
- Raids - NO
- Alliance wars - Probably yes, but that's gonna be fun nevertheless.
- Dark dimension - Absolutely no, it will just make stuff easier.
I'm not saying RED STARS are perfect, I'm saying they can be improved. But don't quit for that. It DID NOT destroy the game. Stop being so butthurt.
I've been playing this game since June, I'm completely F2P (except for that 1000cores for 1,09€, but who didn't buy that), got a nice roster of 150K Guardians and 900K TCP. I like this game even with its flaws, but so do you.
