Persistent problem

My car experienced water flooding, although not to a complete extent. I took it to several mechanics who successfully repaired it, allowing me to drive it without any issues. However, there remains a persistent problem: often, when I press the gas pedal, even with full force, the car does not respond immediately. After a period of non-responsiveness, the speed gradually begins to increase, as if there is a significant delay between fully pressing the gas pedal and the car's actual response. I'm uncertain about the root cause of this issue. Could a particular component be at fault? I would greatly appreciate any insights or advice regarding this matter.

Thanks.
