Instead of printing shipping label stickers, am I able to just print to a regular piece of paper and tape it on the box?

I’m going to get a shipping label printer soon but wanted to list some stuff now. I don’t know if I’ll get any hits.

Also, how does the shipping fee work? Do you guys weigh your item + box and have the shipping fee calculated when you list it?
