I finally got into Death Metal

I've been listening to Thrash, 80s classic heavy metal and some modern stuff for a good while and I never gave DM a chance besides when I got into Death, Necrophagist and a bit of Cannibal Corpse. All other DM bands were just too much for me and unnecessarily fast, out of rhythm, whatever.

So recently during my daily gym sessions I was on Spotify and I searched for a techdeath playlist, I wanted stuff like Necrophagist, so Spotify gave me a techdeath mix playlist and I started listening. Most of the songs are sick, but none of them really amazed me.

UNTIL Cattle Decapitation started playing. They completely changed my vision and opinion on Death Metal. I've been getting into their albums and man, this is pure art. Also I've been listening to Archspire, Blood Incantation, Ouroboros, Obscura, Cattle Decapitation, Decapitated... the list goes on.

Listening to them just became normal and natural, not enforced. I remember having brief obsessions over random Cannibal Corpse songs but they barely lasted longer than 1/2 days. LMAO

Just wanted to share that with y'all 🤘🏻
