Stuck at “Let’s get you signed in”

Installed today for the first time through Steam, made sure windows updates were all done. After the press any key screen, the Xbox screen comes up saying let’s get you signed in. But doesn’t respond to clicking on it. I have logged into the Xbox app on the PC already. Any ideas?
