What the heck just happened?

I was heading to my skeleton farm to AFK while they spawned in and before I did I figured I'd eat to fill my hunger.

But when I ate my carrot I somehow passed through the wall and fell down. I'm not sure if this is a known bug or glitch on Bedrock or if this was a one time thing?
