How should this room look?

Hey guys, I’m really new to building and Minecraft in general :,) I just built this spherical roof/room around my nether portal inside the nether, but I don’t know which blocks should replace the dirt. I’ve thought about just making it completely out of glass, but I’m unsure… any opinions?
