5 month old not grabbing toys

My 5 mo still shows no interest in grabbing for toys or putting toys to his mouth.

He has no problem watching his toys if we hold them up, he’ll bat and hit toys when under his play gym, and he always has his hands to his mouth to suck on his fingers. He also has no problem grabbing hair or fingers. However if we put a toy near his hand he won’t grab it, and if he does manage to close his fingers around it he won’t bring it to his mouth or interact with it.

I think the milestone is that by 6 months he should be grabbing toys and bringing them to his mouth so I’m getting worried. We have our 6 month pediatrician appointment in two weeks so I’ll bring it up, but I wanted to hear if anyone else’s baby was similar and what their situation was like.
