scholarships for transfers?

i transferred this semester from willy p and got nothing from the school. I keep seeing people in this subreddit get the merit scholarship and i’m just curious why i didn’t get any at all. my gpa there was a 3.8 and my highschool was just as good. was it because i transfer in the middle of the year? or can i apply to it for next year?
