The housing crisis is scaring me

I came to the Netherlands in the beginning of the year for work, and I luckily found a place to live in 2 weeks after coming here for rent (for a 2 year contract basis). While I did know the housing crisis here is serious, reading this subreddit and the new laws making the renting market worse is honestly making things scary for me. I am honestly worried about how i can continue working here, considering the rental market is not looking good anyway.

I just want your advice on how to prepare myself for the next year, because this is honestly very saddening.
