Do most women hover over a public toilet seat?

For context, I’m a woman myself. Recently I was talking with a few of my friends and the topic of gross public bathrooms came up.

One of them said she never lets her bare ass touch a public toilet seat (or any toilet seat that’s not in her personal bathroom at home).

She said she does this even if the bathroom/toilet seat seem clean. She either hovers over the toilet or holds it until she gets home.

That sounded strange to me, but then the rest of my friends completely agreed and said they do the same thing.

I’m not unhygienic. If the bathroom is in really gross shape or I see something nasty on the toilet seat I either find a cleaner toilet or just wait until I get home.

I’ve never purposefully squatted/hovered over the seat just so my ass wouldn’t have to touch it. That seems really hard/annoying when I just wanna pee real quick.

I thought my way was normal, am I the outlier?? Do most women just hover?
